The invention specifies a method for producing a semiconductor apparatus (1) which can be pumped optically, having the following steps: providing a connection carrier assembly (50) comprising a plurality of connection carriers (14), which are mechanically and fixedly connected to one another, arranging a surface-emitting semiconductor body (1) on a connection carrier (14) of the connection carrier assembly (50) and separating the connection carrier assembly (50) into individual semiconductor apparatuses. An edge-emitting element (2) in this case pumps the semiconductor apparatus (1) via lenses (3, 5, 6) and a mirror (7). The semiconductor apparatus (1) may have an external resonator having a mirror (31), a nonlinear medium (32) and a combined deflection and outputting element (33).
