Disclosed are a control method for a hydraulic system and a control method for a concrete pump truck. The hydraulic system comprises a plurality of hydraulic pumps driven by a prime motor. Each hydraulic pump drives a corresponding execution mechanism. The plurality of hydraulic pumps comprises a first variable pump for driving a first execution mechanism. The control method comprises: determining a work speed of a prime motor according to a set work speed of a first execution mechanism and maximum displacement of a first variable pump; determining current required power of the first variable pump according to the set work speed and a current work pressure of the first execution mechanism, actual input power of the first variable pump being equal to rated output power of the prime motor minus actual input power of other hydraulic pumps; when the current required power of the first variable pump is greater than the actual input power of the first variable pump, reducing displacement of the first variable pump, so that the current required power of the first variable pump is equal to the actual input power of the first variable pump; when the current required power of the first variable pump is less than or equal to the actual input power of the first variable pump and a current work speed of the first execution mechanism is equal to the set work speed of the first execution mechanism, maintaining current displacement of the first variable pump. The control method for a hydraulic system and the control method for a concrete pump truck have the advantages of improving work efficiency, increasing a load factor of the prime motor, saving energy and reducing consumption.
