The present invention relates to a container for storing an alcoholic drink. The container is made from glass, ceramic, clay or similar materials and is designated as a bottle. The bottle closure is extended by a wooden bar so that the spirit stored in the bottle is subjected to a perpetual maturing. The invention further relates to the maturing and/or refining of an alcoholic drink.
