The metal anchor pin serves as an additive for admixing with concrete to increase the compressive load-bearing capability thereof. In order to improve the compressive strength of the concrete, which consists of rock particles and cement paste connecting said particles to one another, the metal anchor pins incorporated in the cement paste are provided with in each case at least two anchor nodes (8), wherein the shaft region formed between the anchor nodes (8) has a smaller cross-sectional area than the anchor nodes (8).
