Arc welding system with welding power supply, controller and sync signal

An arc welding system (1) includes a welding power supply (30) for supplying welding power to a welding wire (13), a welding robot (10) including a welding torch (12) mounted to an arm fore end thereof, and a controller (40) for controlling the welding power supply (30) and the welding robot (10). The welding power supply (30) and the controller (40) perform communication using digital signals, and the welding power supply (30) outputs, to the controller (40), a welding power-supply feedback signal obtained at the time of inputting of a welding power-supply sync signal. With that configuration, accurate arc tracking can be realized by using the digital signals.
