A labour-saving apparatus for testing no-load operation of a manual chain hoist comprising a base (12), an upright stand (3) and a controller; the upright stand (3) is equipped successively with, from top to bottom, a first cantilever beam (1), a second cantilever beam (6), a third cantilever beam (9), and a fourth cantilever beam (10), and the four cantilever beams are placed on the same vertical plane. An electric hoist is provided beneath the first cantilever beam (1), a pair of first guiding mechanisms (7) is provided on both sides of the second cantilever beam (6), a power mechanism (8) is arranged on the top of the third cantilever beam (9), and a pair of second guiding mechanisms (11) is provided on both sides of the fourth cantilever beam(10).
