The device has a carrier (10) assembling a sample container. A ventilation device (20) with an air outlet is provided at the carrier. The outlet is arranged above the carrier. The ventilation device includes a heating element (28) for heating air flow produced by the ventilation device such that a transparent lid (52) is heated. The lid closes the container. A temperature sensor (32) measures a temperature of the lid. The sensor is a part of a control circuit controlling the heating element. A temperature control device heats and cools the container relative to ambient temperature. An independent claim is also included for an optical measuring device comprising an optical sensor unit.
