Disclosed are an extended mailbox server, an extended mailbox system and an implementation method for an extended mailbox server. The extended mailbox server is responsible for the receiving, identification and classification processing of mails, which first receives a mail, parses the mail, judges the service type thereof, and performs difference processing according to the service type. A normal mail is processed by a mail processing module, and for an extended service, the mail is forwarded to a corresponding extended service processing module for processing via an extended service interface module. The present invention makes it possible to lower the modification costs of a mailbox system and keep the use habits of a user unchanged while increasing and converging other services, which ensure better user experience. In addition, the present invention can also increase a new convergence service flexibly, and enables a mail service to have good extensibility.
