Embodiments of the present invention relate to an optical fiber link detection method, an optical line terminal, and a passive optical network system. The optical line terminal comprises at least one transceiver and a detection device. The transceiver is used for sending a first test optical signal to a data channel to be tested. The data channel to be tested is any data channel between the optical line terminal and an optical network unit. The detection device is used for receiving a second test optical signal returned after the first test optical signal is transmitted via the data channel to be tested, and obtaining, according to the second test optical signal, a test curve of the data channel to be tested. The embodiments of the present invention facilitate detection and fault location of an optical fiber link.
