A spiral material distribution system comprises a spiral drive apparatus (1), a material distribution screw rod (2), a spreading groove (3) and a control device. The material distribution screw rod (2) is positioned in the spreading groove (3) and is driven by the spiral drive apparatus (1) to rotate. The control device comprises a receiving apparatus (10) and a controller (20). The controller (20) is connected to the receiving apparatus (10) and the spiral drive apparatus (1), and compares a detected material level value with a preset material level value, so as to control running of the spiral drive apparatus (1). Also provided are a method for controlling the spiral material distribution system and an engineering mechanical device configured with the spiral material distribution system. According to different material level situations, the control device controls, in different manners, the spiral drive apparatus (1) to work, so that a material is spread evenly.
