The present application relates to a technique for providing a game. A method for providing background music for an online sports game, according to one embodiment of the disclosed technique, allows access via an online sports game provider system, which provides an online sports game, and a network, and is run from a user terminal via a game client providing online sports games. The present application has the benefit of conveniently providing a variety of background music during a game by automatically searching audio files stored on a user terminal and providing background music from within a game on the basis of the stored audio files.
