Method for fabricating samarium-cobalt based magnet with high magnetic energy product by modification of samaric hydride nanometer powder, relating to permanent magnetic material technical field. SmCoCuFeZr alloy micrometer particles with 25.4-26.4 wt.% of Sm, 57.0-58.0 wt.% of Co, 5.5 wt.% of Fe, 7.8 wt.% of Cu, 3.3 wt.% of Zr are fabricated. The samarium-cobalt micrometer particles are uniformly mixed with 1-3 % of samaric hydride nanometer powder, and are compress-molded under a magnetic field of 2T. And then a pressed compact is press formed. The pressed compact is placed in a vacuum sintering furnace for sintering, and is subjected to solution treatment, and is wind cooled to room temperature. After solution and aging treatment, it can be naturally cooled to room temperature. The SmCoFeCuZr alloy fabricated by the method has higher remanence and high magnetic energy product, and has wider application range.
