Disclosed are an information processing system for consumptive credit investigation and a method therefor. The system mainly comprises a smart card used as a card-swiping consumptive voucher; an information terminal which is used for reading account information in the smart card and sending same to a consumptive credit information processing subsystem for processing, and is used for updating consumptive information data in the smart card according to the processing result of the consumptive credit information processing subsystem; and the consumptive credit information processing subsystem which is used for comparing the consumptive information data of the smart card read by the information terminal with basic consumptive information data stored in the subsystem to judge whether the consumptive information data is beyond a preset risk control threshold, and if it is not beyond the preset risk control threshold, the comparison result being output to the consumptive credit information processing subsystem of the information terminal. The information processing system and method therefor can achieve real-time and objective consumptive information collection and information processing.
