The picking management system has a light projector (80a,80b,80c) that is moved for covering a warehouse area. The light projector is controlled during the picking in warehouse by a computer system for managing the picking of warehouse items (50a,50b) directly or indirectly such that the light projector is positioned. The light projector is positioned in such a manner that it visibly projects path indicator or direction (100a) or local reference (100b) to a warehouse space (60a,60b) or display of warehouse space or display on or at the warehouse space.
