A method for RGB color space gamut conversion, comprising: projecting respectively to point N and point M any one point, point o, in the RGB color space of original image data; projecting respectively to point N' and point M' a point, point o', corresponding to point o; calculating point N' and point M' on the basis of a matrix relation between point N and point N' and of a matrix relation between point M and point M'; calculating the point, point o', on a target cube corresponding to the any one point, point o, in the RGB color space of the original image data on the basis of point N' and of point M'; and thus calculating a color conversion adjusted target color of the color of the any one point in the original image data.
