A bright spot maintenance method for a liquid crystal display comprises: modifying a colour film (2) in a maintained subpixel region using laser, and carbonizing the colour film (2) in the maintained subpixel region to form a carbonized colour film (2-1); then, ageing the carbonized colour film (2-1) and a matrix bar (1) adjacent to the carbonized colour film (2-1) to form an aged colour film (2-2) and an aged matrix bar (1-1); forming a gap (3) between the aged colour film (2-2) and a substrate; and then granulating the aged matrix bar (1-1), and generated black particles (1-2) falling into the gap (3) to enable the black particles (1-2) to cover the carbonized colour film (2-1) in the maintained subpixel region. The method can solve the problem of a low bright spot, and increase the maintenance success rate.
