METHOD OF MONITORING INFORMATION ABOUT USER PREFERENCES ON THE BASIS OF AN ANALYSIS OF USER RESPONSE TO CONTENT (EMBODIMENTS)

The two embodiments of the invention relate to information technology and can be used for monitoring information about user preferences on the basis of an analysis of user response to content. In the first embodiment, a user is granted authorization on a server; the server presents the user with a list of content available for consumption; the user selects a content item from the list, and information about the content item selected is sent to the server; the user consumes the content, and the user's emotional responses are recorded by means of the input of one of a number of proposed ratings into a recording device (a telephone, television, personal computer); these ratings are sent by means of the recording device to the server; the server aggregates rating data received from users; and the server generates informational models of user preferences by processing data about the users, pre-generated informational and temporal models of content and aggregated rating data. In the second embodiment, during the consumption of content, the emotional state of the user is automatically monitored with the aid of an emotional monitoring means (a Microsoft Kinect sensing device) installed on a recording device, and the user's emotional response ratings are automatically recorded.
