Disclosed are a washing machine for showrooms and a control method thereof. The washing machine for showrooms includes a plurality of transparent housings (1001, 102), a plurality of transparent tubs (103, 104) placed respectively within the plurality of housings (101, 102), a plurality of drums (111, 112) rotatably provided respectively within the plurality of tubs (103, 104), and a controller configured to control rotation of the drums (111, 112). The controller drives any one of the plurality of drums (111, 112) to perform plural operating motions and the other one of the drums (111, 112) to perform a tumbling motion according to pre-set demonstration modes. This may assist consumers in visually and more clearly understanding advantageous washing effects acquired by plural operating motions as compared to a conventional single motion.
