An object of the present invention is to provide a filler for ion-exchange liquid chromatography which can effectively suppress non-specific adsorption of protein and the like, a method for analyzing glycosylated hemoglobin using the filler for ion-exchange liquid chromatography, a method for production of a filler for ion-exchange liquid chromatography that can maintain suppressive effects on swelling, non-specific adsorption and the like for a long period of time.;The method of production of the filler comprises a hydrophilization process by washing the surface of the filler particle with ozone water having a dissolved ozone gas concentration of 20 ppm or more and by either setting the pH of the ozone water to 7 or more and applying ultrasound, or by irradiation with UV light.
