Coking drum for producing petroleum coke, comprises: a cylindrical base body; at least one inlet opening and an outlet opening, where a check valve (1) is arranged at the outlet- and/or inlet opening; and at least one access opening (19) for feeding residual substances obtained from a vacuum-distillation process upstream to the coking, into the coking drum, arranged approximately at a height of the check valve. Independent claims are also included for: (1) check valve, preferably a tube bridge slider for the coking drum, comprising an integral feeding device, which comprises at least one feed opening and at least one feed channel (21) communicating with the feed opening, for feeding waste materials into the coking drum connected to the check valve; and (2) feeding the residual substances into the coking drum connected with the check valve, comprising feeding the residues approximately at the height of the check valve into the coking drum.
