These drums are 75 ft (23 m) in height and 26 ft (8"Htfm diameter and made of SA-387 Gr 11 with type 410 stainless steel (SS) (IMS S41000) cladding. The coke drum operation cycle is 40 h. The problem we are facing is the displacement of these drums from their original position by 1/2 to 3 in. (13 to 76 mm) along the direction of the overhead vapor line. Movement of the coke drum resulted in anchor bolt damage in the form of necking or even shearing off completely. We wish to know if anyone has experienced a similar problem. It sounds like a structural or geo-technical engineering issue regarding differential movement as ipposed to a corrosion issue.
