Method for life-cycle monitoring of an electrolyte condenser and device with a monitored electrolyte condenser

The method involves detecting impedance of an electrolytic capacitor (C) as an actual characteristic value during operation of electrical device under operation conditions for recognizing an approaching lifetime- and/or life utility end of the electrolytic capacitor. The impedance is compared with maximum impedance (Zmax) predetermined as limit characteristic value. A warning signal is produced depending on parameter of determined difference between the actual characteristic value and the limit characteristic value when reaching a preset minimum permissible difference. An independent claim is also included for an electrical device.
