Pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of diabetes mellitus and obesity comprising the extract of mushroom mycelial rice

PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition and a health food containing mushroom mycelium rice extract for treating diabetes or obesity are provided to contain a large amount of nutrients, to enable long-term storage, and to prevent or treat metabolic diseases. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for treating diabetes or obesity comprises: a step of dipping unpolished rice in warm water of 20-30 Deg.C. and fresh water of 20-40 Deg.C. and repeating the steps for 10-36 hours; a step of adjusting moisture content of the rice by 25-50% and sterilizing at 100-140 Deg.C.; a step of inoculating mushroom mycelium to the rice; and a step of culturing the rice at 25-30 Deg.C. and drying. The mushroom mycelium rice extract is prepared using water, alcohol of 1-6 carbon atoms, or a mixture thereof.
