SHIP WITH A FOLDABLE BILGE KEEL CAPABLE OF REDUCING ROLLING MOTIONS

PURPOSE: A ship with a foldable bilge keel is provided to reduce rolling motions applied to the ship by installing a bilge keel having a flexibly extending function in a hull.;CONSTITUTION: A ship with a foldable bilge keel comprises a fixing part(10), an operating part(20), a first stopper, a second stopper, and a driving part(50). The fixing part is coupled in a hull and is protruded outward. The operating part is hinge-coupled to the fixing part. The first stopper is formed in one of the fixing part and the operating part and supports the operating part to maintain the operating part at 180 degree from the fixing part. In order to fold the middle part of the second stopper, both ends of the second stopper are hinge-coupled to the fixing part and the operating part. The second stopper supports the operating part to maintain the operating part at 1800 degree from the fixing part. The driving part hinge-rotates the operating part on a hinge shaft of the fixing part and the operating part.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
