PURPOSE: An object sensing device using a heat ray sensor and a method thereof are provided to confirm whether human intrusion or not by determining whether or not an object in a sensing area is a human.;CONSTITUTION: An object sensing device using a heat ray sensor includes a Fresnel lens array(10), a sensing unit(100), a pyroelectric sensor(200), a control unit(300) and an alarm generator(400). The sensing unit senses infrared rays come from a sensing target object. The sensing unit includes a first sensor and a second sensor. The Fresnel lens array concentrates the infrared rays. The pyroelectric sensor converts the infrared rays into electric signals. When the first sensor and the second sensor sense the infrared rays, a control unit determines the sensing target object as a human.
