PURPOSE: A lipase inhibitor containing an Ecklonia cava ethyl acetate fraction or dieckol isolated from the fraction is provided to ensure thermal stability and pH stability and to be used in a pharmaceutical product and health foods for suppressing obesity.;CONSTITUTION: A lipase inhibitor contains Ecklonia cava ethyl acetate fraction and dieckol as an active ingredient. A composition for suppressing obesity contains the fraction and dieckol as an active ingredient.
