PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing visible ray active anatase-brookite type titanium dioxide photocatalyst is provided to secure the anatase-brookite hybrid crystalline structure of the photocatalyst and to lower the band-gap energy of titanium dioxide. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing visible ray active anatase-brookite type titanium dioxide photocatalyst includes the following: a titanium dioxide solution is prepared by mixing a titanium dioxide precursor with distilled water and a co-solvent; an acid catalyst is added to the titanium dioxide solution; and the mixture is dried and thermally treated and fluorine-based treated. The content of the distilled water is 1 to 100 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the titanium dioxide precursor.
