PURPOSE: An apparatus for eliminating algae and a method for eliminating algae using the same are provided to improve the eliminating efficiency of the algae by implementing a coagulating reaction with respect to algae, aluminum sulfate, and slaked lime. CONSTITUTION: A first reaction tank(10) receives lake water containing algae. Aluminum sulfate is introduced into the first reaction tank to be coagulated with the algae. A second reaction tank(20) receives the first reacted lake water. Slaked lime is introduced into the second reaction tank to be coagulated with the algae. A first precipitating tank(30) receives the second reacted lake water. A precipitating reaction is implemented. A second precipitating tank(40) receives the first precipitated lake water. Sludge is separated and is discharged.
