PURPOSE: A composite membrane impregnated with bimetallic nanoparticles for removing halogenated hydrocarbons from water and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve mechanical stability and a decomposition rate of halogenated hydrocarbon, to maximize the activity of dehydrogenation, to overcome aggregation of nanoparticles, and to ensure simplicity and efficiency of operational processes by using the composite membrane. CONSTITUTION: A composite membrane includes a polymer membrane which includes nanosized zero-valent iron. A composite membrane further includes a polymer membrane which includes nanosized zero-valent iron and a bimetallic metal of a metal catalyst. The polymer membrane includes a cationic ion exchanging membrane. The cationic ion exchanging membrane includes one or more groups selected from the following: -SO_3^-, -COOH, and -OPO_3^-. The polymer membrane includes Nafion or functionalized polysulfone. The metal catalyst includes palladium(Pd). The metal catalyst is disposed on the surface of the nanosized zero-valent iron.
