PURPOSE: A self generation electricity type text message-only terminal and an operating method thereof are provided to transmit a text message by obtaining electricity by using a motion necessarily performed for inputting the text message without an extra external power device or a changeable battery.;CONSTITUTION: An electricity obtaining unit(300) obtains electricity by a charge generated in a piezoelectric element to store the same. A communication unit(500) receives the electricity stored in the electricity obtaining unit. The communication unit transmits inputted data to a wireless network. A control unit(400) supplies the electricity to an input unit, a communication unit, and a display unit. The control unit performs the signal processing of the inputted data.
