PURPOSE: A mouse pad type input device and an input method thereof are provided to prevent a wrist tunnel syndrome by performing data input with a natural hand motion like using a mouse.;CONSTITUTION: A touch sensor(110) senses a touch area for two fingers and a palm touch area in contact with a mouse pad. An interface unit(120) connects the mouse pad with a computer, delivers operating power received from the computer to the mouse pad, and forms an inverted triangle by connecting the sensed areas with each other through a virtual line.
