SMART KEY SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR PROTECTING THE OLD AND THE INFIRM CAPABLE OF USING AN ASSISTANT FOB FOR CHECKING LOCATIONS OF THE OLD AND THE INFIRM

PURPOSE: A smart key system and a method for protecting the old and the infirm are provided to increase the safety of the old and the infirm by controlling a vehicle speed, a sound volume, air bag strength, vehicle door locking, and others by considering the old and the infirm in a vehicle.;CONSTITUTION: A smart key system(10) includes a main fob(400), an assistant fob(100), and a smart key ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(200). The assistant fob is formed into a shape easy to carry and is carried by the old and the infirm with children. The smart key ECU requests a response to the assistant fob according to the manipulation of a button and uses a response signal from the assistant fob in order to determine whether there are the old and the infirm in a vehicle.
