PURPOSE: A signal estimation system and a method are provided to improve digital receiver reaction and quality of a received signal by combination of signal intensity and/or signal quality indexes.;CONSTITUTION: When a detected event is triggering of a gain test, a test system executes the gain test(s3820,s3830). When the detected event is triggering of a direction test, the test system executes the direction test(s3840). When a gain and a direction are changed, the test system updates a smart antenna configuration(s3850,s3860).
