MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDES CAPABLE OF MODERATELY CONTROLLING THERMAL PROPERTIES BETWEEN MONOMERS AND POLYMERS BY CONTROLLING THE POROSITY OF A DISTILLATION COLUMN, AND A POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE MANUFACTURED BY THE SAME
PURPOSE: A manufacturing method for polyphenylene sulfides is provided to polymerize a functional linear polyphenylene sulfide resin of high molecular weight by moderately controlling thermal properties between monomers and polymers.;CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method for polyphenylene sulfides includes a polymerization process using a polymerization apparatus for polyphenylene sulfides equipped with a column. The apparatus is installed outside a polymerization reactor for polymerizing polyphenylene sulfides from para-halogenated benzene and elementary sulfur. The porosity in the column is controlled to 20-95%. The molar ratio of the feed para-halide benzene and sulfur is 0.6-1.45. The polymerization is conducted by adding 5 wt% or less of an organic catalyst, which is selected from nitro group-containing monoiodobenzene or nitro group-containing diiodobenzene, based on the content of sulfur.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
