PURPOSE: An instrument and a method separating a glass sheet from a moving glass ribbon are provided to secure the stable orientation of the glass ribbon by compensating the variable weight of the glass ribbon during the separation cycle.;CONSTITUTION: An instrument manufacturing a glass sheet comprises a molding body(24) and a weight compensation apparatus. A molding method of a glass sheet comprises the following steps: a step of forming a continuously moving glass ribbon(26) with a length and a free end portion by moving melting glass from the molding body in the down-drawing process; a step of combining the continuously moving glass ribbon to a first weight compensation apparatus; a step of applying a first down force to the continuously moving glass ribbon with the first weight compensation apparatus; a step of forming a score on the continuously moving glass ribbon; and a step of forming a glass sheet by separating a portion of the continuously moving glass ribbon from the score.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
