PURPOSE: An engine oil deterioration sensing method and a system are provided to facilitate to determine the deterioration of engine oil by using a near-infrared measuring device which is cheap and possible to miniaturize, thereby enable to apply to a vehicle.;CONSTITUTION: An engine oil deterioration sensing method is as follows. The primary absorbance of engine oil is measured by using near-infrared rays at a frequency of 100nm or greater. The secondary absorbance of the using engine oil is measured. A determination value multiplying a difference of the first absorbance and the second absorbance by the square of a daily mean driving distance is calculated. When the determination value is 500 or greater, the deterioration of the engine oil is determined.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
