TEG MODULE AND SYSTEM FOR HARVESTING AND MANAGING THERMAL ENERGY FOR BATTERY OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A TEG module and a system for harvesting and managing thermal energy for the battery of an electric vehicle are provided to improve battery energy efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A heat sink(400) is formed in a battery housing(100) and touches external air. A hot junction and a cold junction are formed at both ends and in the center part of a flat type TEG module(500). The cold junction is formed in the battery housing to touch the heat sink. Both ends(340) of a heat pipe(300) are connected to the hot junction of the flat type TEG module and a battery pack(200). A charging unit discharges power to the battery pack.
