METHOD FOR SCREENING ACTIVITY OF A GENE WHICH IS RELATED TO TRANSCRIPTION REGULATION OF MITOCHONDRIA GENOME

PURPOSE: A method for screening activity of a gene which is related to transcription regulation of mitochondria genome is provided to search a gene which regulates activity of mitochondria genome, and to basically treat mitochondria genome-related genetic diseases.;CONSTITUTION: A method for screening activity of a gene which is related to transcription regulation comprises: a step of preparing a gene of a yeast mitochondria transcription factor and a yeast strain in which a target gene sequence is substituted; and a step of checking the growth of the yeast strain, mitochondria DNA content, and protein expression level. The yeast mitochondria transcription factor is ABF2. The yeast strain is designed by substitution of a gene sequence to be identified with a gene of the yeast mitochondria transcription factor.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
