PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for removing shells from oysters are provided to reduce costs for processing oysters and to improve a processing speed.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for removing oysters comprises: a shell support unit(110) which supports one side of an oyster shell; a shell heating unit(120) which heats the outer surface of the shell of another side and separates an adductor muscle from the oyster; and a shell separation unit(130) which grips and turns the end portion of the shell of other side and separates the shells.
