PURPOSE: A device for automatically controlling a driver seat is provided to optimally position a driver seat for securing the clear view of a driver by reflecting the position and body type of the driver according to a road condition.;CONSTITUTION: A device for automatically controlling a driver seat comprises a road condition determining unit(10), a driver state checking unit(20), an optimal seat position analysis unit(30), a seat position control unit(40), and a seat driver(50). The road condition determining unit determines the gradient of a road and the access of a vehicle to a slope or curved road. The driver state checking unit determines the sitting height and driving posture of a driver on the basis of driver's eye position information. The optimal seat position analysis unit analyzes an optimal seat position according to the eye position and body type of the driver on the basis of the information from the road condition determining unit and driver state checking unit. The seat position control unit produces a control signal on the basis of the information from the optimal seat position analysis unit for transmitting to the seat driver.
