PURPOSE: An oral hygiene composition for treating dental decay and periodontitis is provided to prevent side effects by isolating natural medicinal herbs without harming human body. CONSTITUTION: An oral hygiene composition for treating dental decay and periodontitis contains a Kaempferia pandurata extract and a Pistacia Lentiscus extract in a weight ratio of 3:1-1:3. The Kaempferia pandurata extract is prepared by extracting with alcohol at 40-50 deg. C, filtering, and freeze-drying. The Pistacia Lentiscus extract is prepared by extracting with normal hexane, filtering, and freeze-drying.
