PURPOSE: A method for assigning a user key in a converged network is provided to receive a service which a CPNSConverged Personal Network Service server provides by installing multiple user keys in a CPNS device which follows a user key assignment process.;CONSTITUTION: A second device(120) performs a mutual certification and a key exchange process(S11). The second device and a first device(110) perform the mutual certification and the key exchange process(S12). The second device transmits a register request message to the CPNS server(300)(S21). The CPNS server stores a user ID and a user password which are included in the register request message(S22). The CPNS server transmits a register response message to the second device(S23). The second device transmits a user information establishment request message to the first device(S31). The first device which receives the user information establishment request message stores the user ID and a user password in the first device(S32). The first device transmits the user information establishment response message to the second device(S33).
