RACING KART WITH A SAFETY DEVICE, CAPABLE OF ENSURING SAFETY BY PREVENTING THE SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION OF A BRAKE AND AN ACCELERATOR

PURPOSE: A racing kart with a safety device is provided to maximize the safety of a vehicle by restricting the simultaneous operation of a brake and an accelerator when stepping on brake and accelerator pedals.;CONSTITUTION: A racing kart with a safety device comprises a pedal body(11), an accelerator pedal(20), a brake pedal(30), a first transmitting part(40), a second transmitting part(50), and a safety system(60). The accelerator and brake pedals are rotatably and separately hinged to one or the other side of the pedal body. The first transmitting part is connected to the accelerator pedal and a power unit for transmitting the rotatory power of the accelerator pedal to the power unit. The second transmitting part is connected to the brake pedal and a brake for transmitting the rotatory power of the brake pedal to the power unit. The safety device prevents the rotatory power of the accelerator pedal to the power unit when the accelerator and brake pedals simultaneously rotate.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
