METHOD FOR IMPROVING CARCASS TRAITS OF HANWOO USING GENETIC POLYMORPHISM OF AN MYF5 GENE

PURPOSE: A method for improving carcass traits of Hanwoo(Korean beef) using genetic polymorphism of n MYF5 gene is provided to improve carcass traits using genotype of an A1948G region and an analysis method of A1948G.;CONSTITUTION: A primer is described on table for analyzing genotype of A1948G of an Myf5 gene in Hanwoo. A condition for PCR amplification using the primer is set based on the Myf5 gene sequence information(Gene bank accession no. M95684). The genotype of an A1948G region is analyzed by sequencing using the primer. The carcass traits are improved using the genotype of A1948G region.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
