BELT SLIP SENSING METHOD OF A RACK TYPE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM, CAPABLE OF DETECTING A BELT SLIP IN ADVANCE BY USING A STEERING ANGLE SENSOR AND A MOTOR ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR
PURPOSE: A belt slip sensing method of a rack type electric power steering system is provided to improve driving stability by recognizing generation of a belt slip in the rack type electric power steering system.;CONSTITUTION: A steering angle signal is transmitted from a steering angle sensor of a rack type electric power steering system. A normal motor rotation angle is calculated by using the transmitted steering angle signal and data of the electric power steering system. A current motor rotation angle signal is transmitted from a motor angle sensor of the rack type electric power steering system. The calculated normal motor rotation angle and the current motor rotation angle are compared(S101).
