PURPOSE: A rudder for a ship with increased rudder area is provided to improve the steering performance of the ship in narrow regions.;CONSTITUTION: A rudder(100) for a ship comprises a rudder body(10), an auxiliary rudder(20), and a driving part(40). The rudder body is connected to a hull(50) and has an internal housing groove(11). The auxiliary rudder is inserted in the housing groove of the rudder body and is hinge-coupled to the rudder body at the top. The driving part is installed inside the rudder body to move the auxiliary rubber between the inside and the outside of the housing groove. The auxiliary rudder is protruded toward the tail end of the hull while rotating in the housing groove by the driving part. Accordingly, rudder area is increased.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
