NOVEL HORSE GENE HAVING HOMOLOGY WITH BTB/POZ DOMAIN-POTASSIUM CHANNEL DOMAIN

PURPOSE: A novel horse gene having homology with BTB/POZ domain-potassium channel domain is provided to improve breeding, immunity, and exercise capacity of a horse through a transcription regulation network.;CONSTITUTION: A novel horse gene is isolated from horse blood or muscle and contains a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 1. A nucleic acid molecule encoding a novel horse protein having homology with BTB/POZ domain-potassium channel domain is selected from a group consisting of nucleic acid molecules with a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 1. The isolated nucleic acid molecule has a nucleotide sequence encoding a protein having 90% or more homology with BTB/POZ domain found in human KCTD protein. A polypeptide forming the protein having homology with BTB/POZ domain-potassium channel domain or a part thereof contains an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
