PURPOSE: A packing material for maintaining freshness of horticultural products and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to have no use for special equipment or facilities, and to conveniently maintain sufficient freshness of horticultural products at lower cost.;CONSTITUTION: A packing material for maintaining freshness of horticultural products comprises a packing material(11) and a photocatalyst layer(12). The packing material is to pack an item to be packed. The photocatalyst layer is formed on the surface of the packing material, and composed of a titanium-phosphate-based compound which is represented by the below chemical formula 1, or a condensate thereof as an active component. The titanium-phosphate-based compound includes a compound which is obtained by reacting titanium tetrachloride with any one among water, alcohol with carbon number 1-4, and the mixture of water and carbon water, and then with phosphoric acid, as an active component.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
