PURPOSE: A heat treating method of a high pressure casting cylinder block is provided to raise the temperature of a cylinder block to the temperature for solution heat treatment, to make the cylinder block to be heat-treated with solution in a fixed temperature range for a fixed time, and to implement aging heat treatment to the cylinder block after quenching the cylinder block, thereby improving the strength and durability of the cylinder block.;CONSTITUTION: A heat treating method of a high pressure die casting cylinder block comprises the following steps. The temperature of a cylinder block is raised to the temperature for solution heat treatment(S10). The cylinder block is heat-treated with solution in the range of 440-460°C for 1-2 hours(S20). The cylinder block is heat-treated with aging after being quenched(S30).
