PURPOSE: A method for removing mechanical noise to improve the accuracy of a cross-correlation function method for detecting the leakage of a buried pipe is provided to accurately estimate the leaked position of the pipe by removing the noise generated around rotators.;CONSTITUTION: A method for removing mechanical noise to improve the accuracy of a cross-correlation function method for detecting the leakage of a buried pipe is as follows: a step of obtaining a leaked vibration wave signal with a probe(S100); a step of generating a compensated leaked vibration wave signal by removing the noise generated around rotators(S200); a step of converting the compensated leaked vibration wave signal to a time signal(S300); and a step of estimating the leaked position of the pipe through the cross-correlation function method.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (AA) Start; (BB) End; (S100) Signal obtaining step for obtaining a leaked vibration wave signal for each pipe with a pair of probes; (S200) Noise removal step for converting the frequency range of the leaked vibration wave signal and removing the peak component of noise to generate a compensated leaked vibration wave signal; (S300) Reconversion step for converting the compensated leaked vibration wave signal to a time signal
